The Miguel B. Fernandez Family Foundation Civic Leadership Scholarship stems from a $1 million gift to FIU's Maurice A. Ferré Institute for Civic Leadership, part of the Steven J. The Global Perspectives Scholarship is offered annually by Rustic Pathways, a student travel company that has committed $3.6 million in scholarships and financial aid since 2013. It's open to any high school or college student attending an accredited institution in 2026. Applicants submit a 500-word essay responding to that year's prompt, which typically asks students to reflect on a meaningful personal experience or global impact project. The grand prize winner receives $1,000, and two additional finalists each receive $250; all award funds must go toward tuition and/or books.

Sabancı University (Istanbul) automatically considers all qualifying international applicants for a scholarship as part of the standard admission process — there is no separate scholarship application. Nearly all admitted graduate students (MA/MS/PhD) receive a full tuition waiver plus stipend and often dorm accommodation; undergraduate awards range from partial to full tuition depending on competitiveness. The Kathleen Watson Memorial Scholarship honors the late Kathleen Watson, a longtime Communication Arts professor at FIU who helped found the Department of Speech Communication. Her husband, Dr. Herman Watson, established the endowed fund in her memory. It's open to majors in FIU's Department of Communication (Communication Arts, Public Relations, Advertising, Applied Communications) who have earned at least a B in COM 3110, hold a minimum 3.0 overall GPA, and can show community involvement. The Senator Gwen Margolis Scholarship (Communication) is a need-based award for undergraduate students in FIU's Department of Communication, covering majors in Communication Arts, Public Relations, Advertising, and Applied Communications. It's named for Gwen Margolis, the first woman to serve as President of the Florida Senate (1990-1992), who also served as a Miami-Dade County Commissioner and returned to the state senate from 2002 to 2008. The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Pretoria has run since 2014 and is currently in its Phase II expansion. It supports academically talented young Africans facing significant socio-economic barriers, including refugees, internally displaced persons, and individuals with disabilities, across faculties such as engineering, humanities, law, education, and sciences. Applicants must first apply for and be accepted into an eligible undergraduate, honours, or master's program at the University of Pretoria before completing a separate hard-copy Mastercard Foundation Scholars application form, which is submitted electronically along with supporting documents. Shortlisted applicants undergo an interview as part of final selection. Application deadlines differ by level: undergraduate applications close August 31, 2026; postgraduate (honours/master's) applications close September 30, 2026. Applicants must demonstrate leadership qualities, commitment to community service, and outstanding academic performance, and are expected to return to their home countries after graduation to contribute to community development.

The Achieve Today Scholarship is offered by Achieve Today, a personal development coaching company, to current students at an accredited US university or college who are 18 or older. Applicants submit a 3 to 5 minute video or audio recording, or an essay of at least 800 words, on a personal development or high performance principle such as the Law of Attraction, gratitude, or positive thinking, explaining how living that principle made a positive impact or helped them overcome a challenge. Current students of the Achieve coaching program are also eligible to apply. There are two entry cycles each year: August 31 for the fall semester and December 31 for the spring semester, with the award applied directly to the winner's tuition for that semester.

The Excelsior Scholarship, administered by New York State's Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC), provides tuition-free attendance at SUNY or CUNY colleges for eligible New York State residents. It is a state residency-based aid program, not an international scholarship: applicants must be U.S. citizens or eligible noncitizens who have legally resided in New York State for at least 12 continuous months prior to applying, with adjusted combined federal household income of USD 125,000 or less. Recipients must enroll full-time, complete at least 30 credits per year, and commit to living and working in New York State for the same number of years the scholarship was received.

The Startup Abuja Scholarship Program 2026 is a nationwide scholarship opportunity for Nigerian students enrolled in tertiary institutions. The program provides full tuition support for one academic session, a monthly stipend, paid remote internship opportunities, entrepreneurship training, and professional development support.

The Easy Money Scholarship (formerly offered under the Cappex name, now run through Appily) is a recurring, no-essay sweepstakes that awards $1,000 to one winner every month. Not available for PhD or other research degrees, despite some aggregator listings implying otherwise. There is no separate scholarship application — eligibility is assessed automatically alongside the admission application, and successful candidates are notified by email after receiving their offer of admission. This deadline reflects the October 2026 intake (31 August 2026 standard deadline; 31 July 2026 if a Tier 4/Student visa is required) — other intakes have different deadlines.

CREW Chicago, a chapter of the CREW Network, has awarded $7,500 scholarships annually since 2014 to female graduate students and junior or senior undergraduates majoring or concentrating in real estate or related fields, with $199,000 awarded to date. The scholarship supports students pursuing careers in Chicagoland's commercial real estate community, with selection based on academics, leadership, and activities. Applicants must be enrolled for the academic year in which the award is sought. The plan includes three main tracks: the Amiri Scholarship Programme (for outstanding high school graduates, covering study at the world's top-24-ranked universities and five leading local universities, with priority given to medicine, engineering, and innovation); the Abroad Scholarship Programme (covering a wide range of disciplines, including newly added tracks in education, professional diplomas, and sports and creative industries, at approved universities in countries such as the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Japan, and Australia); and the Local Scholarship Programme, including the Tomouh Program, for study at accredited universities within Qatar, particularly Education City institutions. Applicants must already hold an unconditional admission offer from an approved institution before applying for the scholarship itself.

The 1st Financial Bank USA Financial Goals Scholarship is a recurring monthly award of $2,000, offered by 1FBUSA to celebrate students pursuing educational and financial goals. It's open to US residents aged 18 or older who are planning to enroll or are currently enrolled in a college degree program. Applicants submit a 500-word essay reflecting on their personal financial goals and the vision behind their college journey. A new winner is selected each month, and past winners are not eligible to enter again.

The Indomie Nationwide Scholarship supports Nigerian students entering tertiary education in the 2026/2027 academic session at eligible public or state-owned universities, polytechnics, colleges of education and specialised institutions. Tuition is fully covered for the duration of the approved programme subject to renewal requirements.

The VUW Undergraduate International Scholarship, established in August 2025 (replacing several older VUW scholarships), provides a first-year tuition credit of NZ$15,000 to new international undergraduate students at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. This is specifically an undergraduate award; a separate VUW Postgraduate International Scholarship exists for master's/postgraduate applicants, but its value and terms are not the same as this one and should be checked independently. The Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship, delivered through the University of Osaka, for undergraduate, master's, and doctoral study. There are two application routes: Embassy Recommendation, where applicants first apply through their local Japanese Embassy or Consulate for a first screening before requesting an Osaka University Letter of Acceptance (LoA); and University Recommendation, generally reserved for students nominated through partner institutions with academic cooperation agreements with Osaka University. For graduate applicants who have passed the Japanese Embassy's first screening under the Embassy Recommendation route, the deadline to request a Letter of Acceptance from Osaka University via the Admissions Assistance Desk (AAD) system for the 2027 academic year is Tuesday, September 1, 2026 (Japan Time); requests submitted from September 2 onward will not be accepted. Programs are available across STEM, life sciences, social sciences, and humanities, including some English-taught tracks.

The Global Sustainability Leaders Scholarship supports up to 400 high-achieving UK and international undergraduate students starting at the University of Reading in 2026/27, across any discipline, who are passionate about environmental sustainability. It provides a maintenance/living-cost grant rather than full tuition coverage, alongside a flexible leadership development programme. Applications are processed in three tranches; the final tranche deadline is 3 September 2026 (earlier tranches closed 20 March and 12 June 2026, but eligible offer-holders may still be invited depending on when they receive their offer, including through Clearing).

University of Pisa DSU Toscana scholarship for the 2026/2027 academic year. Eligible students may receive financial support based on economic conditions and student status. The official University of Pisa page lists September 7, 2026 at 1:00 PM as the application deadline.

EDISU Piemonte (Ente Regionale per il Diritto allo Studio Universitario del Piemonte) is the regional right-to-education agency awarding needs- and merit-based grants to students enrolled at Piedmont universities, including the University of Turin (UniTo). It is not a University of Turin-specific award — it's the main financial-aid route Turin students (Italian, EU, and non-EU/international) actually use, alongside the university's own smaller targeted scholarships (e.g. Talents 4 UniTo, which is separately timed and typically closes in late January). Eligibility and grant amount depend on economic indicators (ISEE or equivalent foreign income assessment) and academic merit (credits earned). Applicants without an Italian SPID or CIE digital identity can still apply using a Temporary Access Code. This scholarship covers living/education expenses but not tuition directly — tuition at Turin is separately reduced or waived for eligible low-income students through the university's own fee-exemption system (about 40% of students carry a partial or full tuition exemption).

National Taiwan University of Science and Technology (NTUST, "Taiwan Tech") offers a tiered scholarship framework for international students combining institutional tuition waivers, the Taiwan Government Scholarship (MOE/MOFA), and select corporate/dual-degree partner tracks. Full scholarships cover full or partial tuition and fees along with a monthly living stipend paid after enrollment; the stipend amount depends on the specific funding tier and degree level rather than a single flat figure. Note: some third-party aggregator posts have advertised this scholarship with a "$30,000 monthly stipend," but the actual stipend is denominated in New Taiwan Dollars (NT$), not US dollars, and ranges from roughly NT$12,000 to NT$33,000 per month (approximately US$375-1,050) depending on the track and degree level. Scholarships are granted for one academic year and may be extended up to a maximum of two years for master's completion or three years for PhD completion.

Annual renewable scholarship for academically talented, financially disadvantaged Nigerian undergraduates enrolled at public universities. The scholarship supports eligible scholars through graduation and provides tuition, living stipends, accommodation, mentorship and career development support.

ASMAF provides need-based scholarship support to eligible Nigerian female students pursuing their first tertiary qualification at an accredited public university in Nigeria. The award can cover tuition, board and upkeep, alongside mentoring and leadership development.

EDiSU Pavia (the University of Pavia's regional right-to-study body) runs an annual "Ordinary Scholarship" call for students enrolled in bachelor's, master's, single-cycle master's, PhD, and non-medical specialization programs at the University of Pavia. Unlike a pure merit scholarship, this is Italy's regional diritto allo studio (right-to-study) grant: eligibility is based on a combination of family income/asset thresholds (via an equivalent ISEE declaration for students whose family resides abroad) and academic merit requirements, which differ for first-year versus subsequent-year students. It is open to Italian, EU, and non-EU international students under current Italian legislative decrees, but is not a no-conditions "fully funded for everyone" award — applicants must meet the income and merit bar set each year.

National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU) in Taiwan offers scholarship support to international students at undergraduate, Master's, and PhD level through its Office of International Affairs. Importantly, this is not a fixed "fully funded" package: the monthly stipend and tuition award (tuition waiver or local-student tuition rate) can be granted together or separately, and the number and amount of awards are flexibly adjusted based on annual budget conditions and the number of applicants. Meeting the minimum academic requirement does not guarantee an award. For graduate students, match-funding from the research advisor, department, or college is compulsory as part of the award. Students already receiving another government-funded scholarship (e.g. Taiwan Scholarship, TIGP, ICDF) are not eligible. New incoming students apply for the scholarship together with their admission application; current NYCU students apply separately through the scholarship portal during recurring application windows (Fall: Jan 15-Mar 15; Spring: Jul 15-Sep 15). Applicants should confirm the exact award structure and amount directly with NYCU's Office of International Affairs, as this varies by department and is not centrally guaranteed.

A highly selective, last-dollar scholarship funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation for outstanding high school seniors from low-income households in the United States. Around 300 scholars are selected annually to pursue a four-year undergraduate degree at any accredited U.S. college or university, with funding covering costs not already met by other financial aid.

ARES (Académie de Recherche et d'Enseignement Supérieur) International Training Scholarships for a one-year Specialized Bachelor's or Specialized Master's degree, or a 2-6 month Continuing Education course, at an accredited higher education institution of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, Belgium. Applicants can only apply for one specific programme per cycle from the published list (fields include aquaculture, health, food technology, economics, international development, GIS, IT, agriculture, environment, human rights, and microfinance). For Master's/continuing education applicants: degree must have been earned no more than 20 years before application (extended by 1 year per childbirth/adoption), plus at least 2 years of relevant professional experience. Application is completely free — ARES never charges fees at any stage.

Belgian government scholarship (via ARES, the federation of higher education institutions in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation) funding around 200 places annually for a Specialized Bachelor's degree, Specialized Master's degree, or a 2–6 month Continuing Education course. Eligible courses are limited to a specific list in fields such as aquaculture, health, food technology, economics, international development, GIS, IT, agriculture, environment, human rights, and microfinance — not open to all academic fields. Most programs are taught in French, with proficient written and spoken French generally required. A GIRAF account must be created by September 4, 2026 (before the September 18 submission deadline).

The RBL Bank Shiksha Fresh Scholarship is a corporate social responsibility initiative from RBL Bank, delivered through the Vidyasaarathi platform, supporting first-year undergraduate students from economically weaker backgrounds in India. It covers full-time three-year undergraduate courses across all streams and pays up to ₹20,000 per year toward tuition, or the actual course fee if lower. To qualify, applicants need a minimum of 60% marks in both Class 10 and Class 12, and an annual family income below ₹4,00,000. Selected students also get access to a structured mentoring program with RBL Bank employees and external mentors. Applications for the 2026-27 fresh cohort close on 27 September 2026.

The Coca-Cola Scholars Program is an achievement-based scholarship for graduating U.S. high school seniors, recognizing leadership, service, and commitment to community impact rather than academics alone. Each year, 150 Coca-Cola Scholars are selected nationwide to receive a $20,000 award to put toward their college education. Selection moves through stages: an initial online application, roughly 1,800 semifinalists submitting transcripts and essays, about 250 regional finalists interviewed, and finally 150 scholars chosen. It is one of the most competitive U.S. high school scholarships, with an acceptance rate under 1/6 of 1%.

The DSU (Diritto allo Studio Universitario / "Right to Higher Education") Regional Scholarship at the University of Milan is a need-based financial aid program funded jointly by the Lombardy Region and Italy's Ministry of University and Research — it is not an automatic or purely merit-based award. Eligibility depends on meeting both income (ISEE-equivalent, assessed for foreign family income/assets too) and academic merit requirements, plus regular enrollment. An entrance award for new international students beginning studies at Douglas College in New Westminster/Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. Available for Fall, Winter, and Summer semester intakes across diploma, associate degree, and bachelor's degree programs.

The Yashad Sumedha Scholarship is a joint initiative of the Yashad Sumedha Organisation and Hindustan Zinc Limited, supporting meritorious and financially needy students entering the first semester of a B.Tech program at a government college. It's limited to permanent residents of five Rajasthan districts: Udaipur, Rajsamand, Chittorgarh, Bhilwara, and Ajmer. Applicants need at least 75% marks in their senior secondary exam and an annual family income below ₹2,50,000. Selected students receive ₹20,000 per year, renewable each year they maintain a first-division score, with priority given to students from BPL families, orphans, single-parent households, and girls.

NTHU International Student Scholarship, offered across nearly all faculties (engineering, science, life sciences, humanities, technology management, and more). Bachelor's and Master's applicants must tick the "NTHU Scholarship" box on their admission application; PhD applicants are automatically considered. No IELTS/TOEFL or acceptance letter is required to apply, and there is no application fee. Note: stipend amounts differ significantly by degree level — Bachelor's/Master's stipends are modest (NT$5,000/month) compared to PhD stipends (NT$20,000-40,000/month), so undergraduate/Master's applicants should budget for additional living costs.

The University of Milan (Università degli Studi di Milano / "La Statale") Regional Scholarship is Italy's DSU (Diritto allo Studio Universitario) financial aid program, jointly funded by Regione Lombardia and Italy's Ministry of University and Research (MUR). It's a needs- and merit-based aid program (not automatic), open to international students who hold or intend to secure admission to a full-time degree program at the University of Milan. Entrance scholarships (valued $3,500-$5,000, including the President's Scholarship for World Leaders) for new international students entering the University of Winnipeg for the first time, across undergraduate, graduate, collegiate, or PACE programs. Deadlines vary by intake and program level.

Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU), a private university in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan (founded 1954), offers the KMU International Student Scholarship automatically to admitted international applicants across bachelor's, master's, and PhD programs, primarily in medicine, pharmacy, life sciences, dentistry, nursing, and health sciences, taught in Chinese and English. No separate scholarship application is required — applicants are automatically considered for scholarship funding upon program admission. Applicants to the School of Medicine or Dentistry must have lived abroad for at least 8 consecutive years; other programs require 6 consecutive years abroad.

Kaohsiung Medical University (KMU) International Student Scholarship, covering medicine, dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, life sciences, public health, and other health-related disciplines, taught in English and Chinese. No IELTS/TOEFL required if alternative proof of English proficiency is provided (e.g. prior degree taught in English). Undergraduate applicants can only apply for Type C; Master's students can apply for Type B or C; PhD students can apply for any type. Applicants to the School of Medicine or Dentistry specifically must have lived abroad for at least 8 consecutive years.
